Temperature highs in Bulgaria broke records in many parts of the country yesterday. Normally averaging between 2 to 5°C in January, Sunday 21 January saw the mercury top the 20°C mark in some areas with Vratsa hitting 22.5°C. The hot weather is forecast to last for the next few days with some spots expected to reach 25°C. If so, January 2007 in Bulgaria could end up as the warmest in a century. (posted on 22 January
